As you likely know, through the advocacy of families and staff PS 503 has secured 2.25 million dollars for much needed repairs to our large school yard. After a community design process, we have a finalized design for the new yard and Trust for Public Land will begin construction on November 1st. The large yard will be completely closed from November 1st 2023- July 1st 2024. We know that this will be a hardship for the school and the community, but the reward at the end will be a beautiful, safe space for all to enjoy. The small playground will remain open during the construction process. PS 503 is making plans to utilize the gym and other spaces to ensure that students still receive daily recess.
